I achieved something new in a job I love,

Mason was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder a few months ago. He was recommended to me for hair cuts, so over the last couple months, I have been attempting to find different ways to cut Mason’s hair while he also remains comfortable. Most times, he’d either run away from me or not let me trim near his ears.

But today I finally achieved a full haircut when we were both laying on the floor in silence. He allowed me to cut away and give him his first proper haircut. I achieved something new in a job I love, making both parents happy and giving extra attention to Mason by building a level of trust.

What gave the finishing touch is when I asked for a High 5, he gave me a hug instead. True barber love!”(via Facebook)
