One day, Hamdü Sena Bilgin of Rize, Turkey, and her dog, Tomi, were out surveying the land on her family’s farm when she found a female goat in labor on the snowy hillside.
Concerned that the mother and the newborn would be too weak to make it off the hillside on their own, Hamdü, 11, got two backpacks, and put the mother goat in her backpack and the newborn in Tomi’s pack on his back.
All four creatures made it safely back through the snow. “The snow was so thick, I was exhausted,” Hamdü told a local newspaper. “But it was worth it.” (Via The Daily Saint)
